
This is only a short history of The Apples in Stereo
The Apples in Stereo is a good time to reflect. You see, The Apples in Stereo is one of the most famous American indie rock bands. This band is associated with the innovative group of bands called the 'Elephant Six collective. Robert Schneider, lead singer and guitarist of this band, writes most of the band, music and lyrics. The Apples in Stereo is largely a product of this great musician. Apart from Robert Schneider, The Apples in Stereo now also includes other members such as Eric Allen (bass), John Hill (rhythm guitar), John Dufilho (drums) and Bill Doss (keyboards).
The band is known for their lyrics vivacious, bright and catchy pop / rock sound of the '60s. These listeners tend to make a comparison of the Velvet Underground, the Beatles and the Beach Boys. The launch New Magnetic Wonder of this band had invoked a comparison with the famous band, Electric Light Orchestra.
The Apples in Stereo was formed in 1992. This was just after Robert Schneider went to college in Boulder, Colorado, Ruston, Louisiana. Originally the band consisted of the following members: Robert Schneider (voice, guitar, keyboards), Jim McIntyre (bass, vocals), Hilarie Sidney (drums, vocals) and Chris Parfitt (guitar).
The first version of the band EP was the tsunami. This was a great success as nearly 500 copies were sold. Along with this also was a twelve-page illustrated booklet, stickers and a poster. The Elephant 6 Recording Company did its first official release.
The band saw one of its members, Chris Parfitt, leave the band in late 1993. Then became its own "Vince Mole and His Calcium Orchestra.
It was then that John Hill, a guitar and vocals, and also a part of Dressy Bessy, joined the Apples in Stereo. A couple of tracks were recorded which were released with other bands as split singles. One of the division was only with the band, the Olivia Tremor Control, and was released in the small-Fi Records. Yet another was for the heartworm released on Wurlitzer Jukebox. The band made separation with Sportsguitar third single which was released in 100 Guitar Mania.
Fun Trick Noisemaker, the debut album from The Apples in Stereo was released in 1995. Includes versions of a couple of EP tracks and early singles which are re-recorded. Most of the album was recorded as a trio. Jim McIntyre left the party road band.
In 1996, another album called the Science Fair was released. This album contains a collection of early singles. Also had the instrumental To Love the vibration of the lamp that was previously unpublished.
The speed of sound is the latest album by The Apples in Stereo. It was released simultaneously in three parts of the world, ie U.S., Japan and Europe in October 2002. In each of these parts, the album of different diameters cover.
Apples in Stereo saw great sales and fame with his latest album, which was a success.
