Derren Brown – Mind control

Derren Brown's Mind Control television was a huge success on Channel 4 in the UK. His national tour tickets sold out of weeks early. He received an award from the Montreux Television Festival and went on to conquer America.

The appeal that draws the audience in, is its amazing ability to control and predict the behavior of another person. He claims to be able to detect lies, suggesting ideas and altering the subconscious. Derren gives credit for such feats to his great understanding of psychology. However, some people are skeptical, saying that these are just simple magic tricks, illusions.

What Derren Brown is just a trick of the mind that this is a magic trick. He plays off the gullibility of people, a natural response. It's a bit like the old joke that will "spell" the majority "most", "spell host", "host" and then when asked, "What toaster puts you in a "natural response is" bread ". The joke is really putting the bread in a toaster, toast is what comes out. However, with the pace of the "majority", "host" and "toaster" a person is tricked into the natural response of "toast". This technique is the natural response that Derren used to manipulate the minds of others to produce the results you want.

Another way that Derren Brown takes off his tricks of the mind is a careful planning and clever deception. In one manifestation of Derren Brown, he challenged a room full of chess players, chess master with it simultaneously. In the beginning, Derren says the volunteers who not only played nine of these players to master the same time, but also the loss as a group as well.

Before the game of chess, Derren has developed a plan. Mentally compared with eight pairs of chess players so they can actually be competing each other senseless. Make sure that the ninth player who has a similar level of skills in the game, ensuring at least a draw.

Then let the first player to make his move and Derren recalls. It does the same thing for the next three tables. When it comes to the table five, playing the movement has remembered the table one. In the table of six, playing the movement of the table two. For transfer to the table of seven, he uses the table in groups of three and four are moving move in eight. As his opponent makes his move on the tables of five, six, seven, eight, Derren is to remember each move and uses them on the tables of one, two, three and four. It continues with this farce until all games are complete. In the end, Derren apparently had defeated the group.

Derren Brown is less of an illusionist, pointing out what he wants you to, as he is a mentalist who plays in the natural human response.
