The biggest thing that people are doing to attract customers is alter photos of a real nano ipod and put on display in their auctions. This has generated a lot of sales on their side and people and style who do not. The fact that theres many styles of this Nano mp4 player like me, look to your photos. In the pictures below you will notice differences in all of them. Frames screens, writing under them, even screen size. Also how the buttons are designed on them too. There are more than 12 versions known of this player.

1. 4. Computer Dock – Charging Plug – The iPod nano has a large bay docking connector. is one standard for iPod accessories. The MP4 player has a mini USB connector on it … Sub Both of which are at the bottom of the player.

5. Power – Lockable – the upper left corner at the top of the players has a switch. on iPod nano is the switch a standby button. In the player Mp4 is a switch on and off.

These are the main physical differences in the iPod Nano and Mp4 player is the only difference is that the other players MP4 are 1 mm thicker than the iPod Nano .. I do not think that really matters …. whos eye is good enough to catch that one …

Memory Capacity!

Another big problem around the curve that comes from abroad for the most part …. there have been some unlucky resellers from other countries who have been stuck with this issue too much though …

there has been an eruption, and this has been any unbranded mp4. many people (thousands) have been reporting getting players mp4 128 Mega Bytes when purchasing 1 Gb players, but players are altered to show the computer that has 1GB of space …

As soon as you receive your player connect to your computer, open the unit and check the capacity. After doing that, format the drive to FAT (not fat 32, this will ruin the player) a full format, this to show its true capacity, if the capacity hasent drastically gone down in size than the good to go.

Avoid buying these from sellers who offer no warranty, return policy, or change policy.

Stay away from sales in China, Japan, Asia, Singapore etc. ect. try to buy someone just as close as possible, and not from abroad. There have been sellers sticking their buyers with paying customs fees, VAT etc rights. (Presented by flaker2003: accodring to this e-bayer the VAT / rates Customs are the responsibility of the buyer. but some buyers to pay the VAT with your submission. others mention no responsibility for them and others do not just mention these rates everyone who makes more than a headache for something you can buy locally than you really need) and the sources of the bad players have been floating around with these sellers .. I do not know that most vendors have these problems … Ovesen but dupp alltogeather to avoid it is best not to go to the outside unless necessary.

Fake Fakes! (Fake of the fake versions) they are trying to sell 4, 6, or 8 GB capacity NOT BUY WITHOUT EXTENSIVE RESEARCH ON THIS SELLER. the reason be is because Apple has bought most all of the 2 GB and 4 GB of memory chips from where you take these things …. When the seller could say GB GigaBit place to be saying Gigabyte for example: 1 gigabit (8 bits in a byte) is 128 Mega bytes, 1 Gigabyte is 1024 Megabytes.but that could eventually show up to a day of truth if …. but all Ive found that they bought the 8 GB version has a 1 Gigabyte Player (128 x 8). if you get any faker i could tell you about the Mp4 player doesn't that have a screen … even have the Apple logo on the front and back …. So stay away from those who have the ipod logo on it that would be an option very unwise

Video Capabilities Theres an interesting thing about these players. different versions of the mp4 players play different versions of the video formats. Note when these players say that video playback. they do not mean AVI, MPEG, Divx ect. which means that play is Type 1 its kind. Stay away from the MTV format. if the player description says AMV or DMV it is good. I do not know much about the DMV if … The best format to go for is AMV, it has more easy to use conversion software and file size are smaller films. drastically lower compared to the compression format MTV, who doesn't .. Using mostly players come with software for video conversion. will convert any video format under the sun. provided you have a codec for it. Software may or may not be English however.

Computer operating system and software .. Do you have an Apple PC, Windows 95, Linux, OS? if you do you may want to review. Most autions say these devices are compatible with Apple. so they are … You can use the drag and drop interface …. BUT! is software for Windows 98 and above (sorry Mac and Linux).

Headphones: These devices use a standard 2.5 mm jack instead of 3.5 mm, unless I want to get an adapter for headphones … you can live with the headphones that came with or maybe consider a different mp4.

The MANUAL! – It is very poorly translated English or foreign language (depends where you go or where training was manufactured) its not too had to learn. No need to men, plus manuals!

Charger: heres a dame here … There are also people who are giving shippers abroad with his players … sure you have the appropriate charger for anywhere is what can be ….
