Need help choosing your GPS and good maps (topo, etc.) for road navigation off-road/dirt.?
I've been doing a lot of research, but I keep finding either outdated or conflicting information. What I need is a GPS that comes with, or I can load maps that show age barely used road vehicle trails, hiking trails, forest roads and services. I would rather have the option to navigate on these maps, or at least add my own path along the points of the selected routes, so you can track. ALSO "It would be nice if you could use the GPS for the road Standard / city navigation and search for points of interest. So in summary my questions are: Is it better to buy two separate units, as a nuvi And something as the garmin colorado, or I can upload a decent topos nuvi navigable and have a single unit? What are the consequences of that choice? "The Garmin Colorado / Oregon / Strong reception units Nuvis Dakota in canyons, etc., or are simply "robust" more? Tell a good approach. Thanks!
