GPS Mapping – a new way of seeing things

The Internet has opened up a whole new world for us – a change in places that normally can not see right in plain view on your computer screen. Now, as never before, all computer users – wherever they are – have instant access to a place that may be even thousands of miles away. Webcams can transmit live images in a matter of seconds and the Global Positioning System – GPS or — can locate an address to the street and house through GPS.

GPS is a system of 24 satellites that continually circle the earth. The system as know it today originally started in the 1960s as the United States Navy implemented a system to help determine the location of submarines. The Department U.S. Defense – taking this initial work, a step forward – GPS designed and implemented. The first satellite was launched in 1978. The 24 satellites of today were not all operational until well into the 1990s. Today, we can locate any place on the basis of the satellite signal to the nearest location.

GPS Maps was a natural consequence of these developments, which allows us to leverage the information provided by the satellite system. GPS maps can find the address and see there, some stuff is so clear you can see the bushes in the garden and the cars on the street.

Specific websites that allow you to simply enter an address or point of reference and information is instantly obtained from satellites in space. Within seconds, a photo image appears in our computer screen, it's almost hard to believe.

Obviously, the GPS led us to a new world of information, maps, GPS is only part of this process. It's hard to know what is around the corner in the form of GPS satellite information and what role in our future. But the possibilities are endless.
