How do you do when the LCD to comply with water damage
Here is my Acer Aspire 5610 notebook with water damaged screen I fix.First of all remove the battery from the notebook.
Warning: the LCD can be easily damaged if they open. If you do something wrong the screen might become totally useless and have to buy a new screen. It's very expensive. Think twice before you decide opening the screen. Continue at your own risk.
In this model the inverter board is connected to the screen with two screws. Remove the two screws, disconnect the screen cable and remove the inverter board.
Carefully remove the tape and aluminum foil and set aside. You have to put it back into place during assembly of the screen.
Remove two screws both sides of the screen.
Lift up rubber screw seals and remove all screws.

Carefully separate the screen of the LCD cover and remove the bezel.
Remove the two screws on the front and two screws on both sides.
Carefully remove the LCD screen on the lid and place it on the Base. Disconnect the video cable and inverter board cable.
Carefully place screen upside down on flat surface. Carefully peel off the film covering the circuit board and remove the two screws on the plate (circled above). I was not really sure if I have to remove the screws on the bottom, so I removed them just in case. Do not touch the circuit board with fingers.
After both screws are removed you should be able to lift the circuit board. Be careful, it is still attached to the LCD.
Start by releasing the metal frame of the screen. There are plenty of insurance on all sides of the screen. You can unlock them with nails or a small flat screwdriver.
After all insurance open should be able to separate the screen into three parts: metal frame, LCD and background (not sure about correct technical name).
If you have lint or dust inside the screen, probably you will find between the LCD and the background. Do not touch LCD or background with your fingers. I was able to remove dust and lint up with a cloth very soft, barely touching the LCD and background surfaces.
After dividing the screen in my opinion, the fund has a few layers any Optical (three transparent sheets) and in my case it was damaged by water. The water dried and left stains between these optical layers.
In my case mine dust and lint was not enough and I had to go further.
Very carefully separate the LCD with attached circuit board of the fund.
To remove damaged layers optics is necessary to remove metal locks on both sides of the screen. It's like a small clip that keeps layers in place.
After to remove the two clips, I had the opportunity to look between the layers. At first I tried to clean the dried water marks with a soft cloth, but to no avail. The spots yet were visible and did not want to leave.
Fortunately I had another similar screen laying around, had broken a liquid crystal. I decided to borrow optical layers of the cracked screen and transfer them to my screen. I was not sure if it's going to work, but as I mentioned before I really do not care if I break the screen. It was just an experiment.
So remove the cracked screen and carefully transferred the white background transparent and all layers of my screen.
In order to avoid water damage, you can use sleeve case http://www.sunvalleyus.com/Cooling-Laptop-Case/
After that I assembled my screen back removing dust and lint with a very soft cloth. Breathless connected my new laptop screen. He lit it and …
That is a miracle, it works!
