We love the Samsung G800 Amazing
Samsung G800 is a 3.5G phone launched by Samsung in October 2007. The company called a digi camera with functionality the phone instead of a cam-phone. The digi cam call comes in stick form with all the shiny metal body that looks very beautiful.
Screen resolution is QVGA with a screen size of 2.4 inches. The device has 64 chord polyphonic ringtones and the phone comes with a huge 1000 entries which is much for the average user, but lower compared to other phones that offer virtually unlimited entries. The phone offers 160 MB of onboard memory and is expandable through a microSD card up to 4GB.
Distinctive feature of the phone is the 5 megapixel camera that takes pictures with a resolution maximum of 2560×1920 pixels. The only thing about the camera is that it has an optical zoom versus digital zoom only, which is common on other phones. The phone also has a xenon flash which is very effective compared to normal LED flashes used by the Nokia phones. There are also 3 LED lights to illuminate a video tape while performing brilliantly in VGA resolution at 30 fps.
The various settings available within the camera is pretty standard. Features such as exposure control, white balance and auto focus to taking pictures a pleasure rather than an obstacle.
One problem is that the camera forgets all the settings when you exit the application and has redefined the next meeting. The phone has two lenses both cameras can be used to shoot. The front camera is VGA resolution, while the second is SVGA.
The media player is very versatile as it is capable of playing MP3, AAC and WMA. The video player plays MPEG4 and 3GP. But do not expect much of the media player of this device, which is pretty standard and not the main selling point of this mobile phone. The phone is quite sensitive and worth buying if you have not purchased any of those 5-megapixel beauties so far.
